Currently pilots are asked to climb to at least 1500 feet before crossing Highway 101 (https://www.cityofpaloalto.org/files/assets/public/v/1/public-works/palo-alto-airport/airplane-noise/2022-pao-annual-noise-report_1.pdf). Yet most of East Palo Alto and Belle Haven (Menlo Park) is situated before the pilots pass Highway 101, where current noise abatement asks for only 1000 feet of height on the "Peninsula Side Pattern" and has no restrictions at all until 101 for the "Left Dumbarton Departure" which passses over Belle Haven/Menlo Park residential and schools areas. Should the noise abatement procedure be amended to protect East Palo Alto residents and not only residents (including all of Palo Alto) living on the other side of 101?
